Dance Ace Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dance Ace. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Dance Ace platform. By accessing or using Dance Ace, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Platform Operator

Dance Ace is operated by Steven Wilkinson, a sole trader trading as "Dance Ace", based in the United Kingdom.

Dance Ace provides an online platform for managing dance competitions, registrations, and related services.

1. Definitions

• "Platform" refers to the Dance Ace web application and associated services.
• "User" refers to any individual accessing or using the platform.
• "Account" refers to a registered user profile on Dance Ace.
• "Content" refers to text, images, videos, data, and other materials uploaded or shared on the platform.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

2.1 Age Requirements

• Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
• Users under 18 may only make purchases through a parent or legal guardian who provides payment consent.

2.2 Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Use of the Platform

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use Dance Ace for registering for dance competitions, booking dance lessons, and managing competition entries.

3.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to use the platform for any unlawful purpose or upload harmful content.

4. Payments and Refunds

4.1 Payment Processing

All payments on Dance Ace are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”) as Merchant of Record. Paddle is responsible for payment processing, billing, and customer refunds.

4.2 Platform Subscription Fees

Dance Ace offers annual digital service subscriptions that provide access to platform features and tools.

Customers may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided that the platform services have not been substantially used.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to immediate access to digital services and therefore statutory cancellation rights may be reduced once the service begins.

Once the services have been substantially used or after the 14-day period, subscription fees are non-refundable.

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time and will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Subscriptions are one-time annual purchases and do not automatically renew.

4.3 Competition Entry Fees

Dance Ace facilitates competition registrations on behalf of event organisers.

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase and before the published competition start date, whichever comes first.

No refunds are available once a competition has started.

If a competition is cancelled by the organiser, a full refund will be issued.

Competition organisers manage their events and scheduling, however all customer payments and refunds are processed through Paddle as Merchant of Record.

4.4 Refund Processing

All refund requests must be submitted through Paddle's customer support system.

Approved refunds will be returned using the original payment method.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and banking institution.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Dance Ace. By uploading content, you grant Dance Ace a licence to use and display your content for operating the platform.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Dance Ace platform are owned by Dance Ace or its licensors.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of Dance Ace is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

Dance Ace is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dance Ace shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.

Dance Ace is not liable for any loss of data or disruption to service beyond its reasonable control.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
